A glimpse is all you get

.Walk.
Today,
I walked.
I walked and walked,
And walked the entirety of this little town that I live in.
Past countless houses,
Crossed numerous roads,
Counted dozens of clouds.
And I got my heart back.

I love walking.
That feeling of the ground beneath your sole,
The warmth of the sun glowering above,
The soothing wind that rushes to embrace you,
That assuring sound of echoing footsteps.
-
Maybe it's because I knew these things would never change.
No matter what happens,
They will always remain the same.
The wind,
The sun,
That assurance that only the earth can give.
And life goes on...
